Data Driven Decision Making Using EVAAS PEP’s Data Driven Decision Making Using EVAAS (EVAAS) offers basic knowledge and skills needed to understand and use the EVAAS customized software system. DPI has made EVAAS available, at no cost, to all public schools in North Carolina. EVAAS merges state end-of-grade and end-of course assessment data to project different levels of intervention needed by students and to help predict students' likelihood of success at the next level. EVAAS also can help principals see where schools are being especially successful in particular grade levels or subjects and where schools need additional support to be successful in particular areas. The information can be used by schools to allocate and align resources to support students and school programs where the need is greatest. PEP offers the EVAAS program to help school principals become familiar with the use of the program to better serve their students. PEP is committed to geographic diversity, ensuring access for all public school administrators. Administrators in high-need districts and Tier 5 schools are encouraged to enroll in PEP programs so State resources are targeted to areas of greatest need. Current public school principals are eligible to attend the EVAAS program. The EVAAS program comprises two, two-day sessions at the UNC Center for School Leadership Development. The nonrefundable, $250 registration fee covers program expenses. Participants are responsible for the cost for travel and lodging. Please click on the links at the right of this page to learn more. If you have questions about logistics or registration, please contact Program Manager Jeff Bell.
