Leadership Program for Future Superintendents 3

Intended for educators who have been principals and/or central office administrators for at least four years, the Leadership Program for Future Superintendents (LPFS) emphasizes leadership skills that are particularly relevant to the superintendency, including self-knowledge; political acumen; critical thinking and decision-making strategies; how to communicate effectively with a wide variety of constituencies; and how to build productive professional relationships, organizations, and coalitions.  PEP’s third edition of LPFS, which commences in September 2007, employs a variety of instructional approaches and learning structures, including Socratic seminars, case studies, simulated environments (e.g., mock school board meetings), and 360-degree individual assessments.
