Leadership Program for Experienced Principals

To effectively lead and build capacity within their schools, experienced principals must continue to develop their abilities to lead individual teams, manage school processes, and create successful schools.  PEP’s Leadership Program for Experienced Principals (LPXP) prepares school leaders with three or more years on the job to excel in their present positions and progress in their leadership careers.

LPXP comprises ten days of instruction (four 2½-day residential meetings) and convenes at the UNC Center for School Leadership Development (CSLD) in Chapel Hill.  Except for the cost of some meals and travel to and from Chapel Hill, PEP covers all expenses, including lodging.

Principals who wish to register for LPXP should obtain the required permission from their superintendents/supervisors and submit a registration and signature card.  Your registration must be completed in full before you may be considered for a program.  Your registration will not be processed until we receive your signature card.

Please click on the links on this page to learn more about LPXP and/or submit an registration.

If you have questions about logistics or registration, please contact Program Coordinator Nick Martens.  If you have questions about LPXP’s content, please contact Program Director Chris Hitch

We at PEP expect all participants to be sincerely dedicated to their professional development.  To qualify for graduation you must attend all sessions and complete all program requirements.
