Educating Children with Disabilities:  Legal Issues and Successful Program Initiatives

Co-sponsored by PEP and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, this two-day conference is designed for principals and assistant principals who are responsible for overseeing programs for students with disabilities in their schools.  The first day’s sessions will offer up-to-date information on legal issues related to providing a free appropriate education to students with disabilities.  The second day’s sessions will focus on how school administrators may develop and implement successful academic and behavioral programs for students with disabilities.

Cost:  $225 for participants who register and pay after December 1, 2006.

Dates: January 23-24, 2007

Location:  William and Ida Friday Center for Continuing Education, Chapel Hill
