This program serves newly-appointed public school principals – those who have not yet spent a single day in charge of their own schools.  Veteran principals, PEP faculty members, and other seasoned educators offer essential skills as well as handy “tricks of the trade” to prepare soon-to-be-principals for the shock of leadership.

PEP is committed to geographic diversity, ensuring access for all public school administrators. Administrators in high-need districts and Tier 5 schools are encouraged to enroll in PEP programs so State resources are targeted to areas of greatest need.

SSNP comprises two sessions, a total of five days, at the UNC Center for School Leadership Development in Chapel Hill.  The nonrefundable, $250 registration fee covers program expenses. Participants are responsible for the cost for travel and lodging.
