Alzheimer's Disease

Stella and Charles are retired and live in the town of Edenton, in eastern North Carolina. The family doctor has diagnosed Stella with Alzheimer's Disease using the "7 minute test." Stella is 78 years old and knows she may need to make some changes in the months or years ahead.  She will do whatever her family thinks is best but is saddened at the possible loss of the home she has lived in for over 30 years.

Charles has called their son, David, in San Francisco, California and their daughter, Shirley, in Elizabeth City, North Carolina to tell them the news. The family is planning to gather in two weeks to discuss the situation and make a decision about Stella's care over the next year.
